Obnoxiously chaotic

Pros

You can choose between a mac or a regular laptop.

Cons

The company is trying to create an open door policy but most of management have their doors shut during the day. To put it simply, they are attempting to implement a culture that no one in upper management follows. It's complete chaos in the office, most people get their work done when they work from home. No one can keep a meeting time. Managers are usually 10-15 minutes late or don't show up at all. In person interviews are AT LEAST 4 hours long. But not before the sometimes 1+ hour long phone screen that they conduct. Sometimes, a second phone screen has to be scheduled due to getting off topic on tangents that have nothing to do with the position. You have to have a minimum of a half hour and a white board to understand what the company even does or how it operates. They are also trying to create a collaborative environment but shun innovative and different ideas. It's management's way or the highway. If you don't meet their standards after 90 days, they will let you go. Health insurance isn't the best either.

We’re sorry we fell short and you didn’t have a positive experience working for Innovu. We value your comments and acknowledge there are challenges to working at a rapidly growing company like Innovu -- your feedback about culture particularly resonates with us, as we, like you, believe implementing a positive and supportive culture is critical to the happiness of our employees who fuel our continued growth. So what are we doing to improve? We recently embarked on a company-wide cultural development initiative to lay the cultural foundation at Innovu. We defined the type of company we want to be and are implementing intentional rituals to integrate those cultural values into our daily work routines. Furthermore, we are experimenting with an innovative technology solution that gives our employees a way to provide regular, continuous feedback to one another -- including and especially our management and executive teams -- and that feedback is 100% based around our newly defined cultural values. We are also rolling out a revamped interviewing and onboarding process that supports our efforts to hire the right people for our culture, and subsequently give those team members the training and development they need to be successful. As you may suspect, those process changes are also closely tied to our cultural values. If you are willing to share more about your experiences during your time with Innovu, we’d welcome additional feedback. Please contact us at hr@innovu.com. We sincerely appreciate the time you took to offer suggestions on how we can improve and know we’re working on making Innovu an even better place to work.

Pros

You'll be surrounded by extremely smart and talented people throughout the entire organization. People are very friendly and working for a growth company provides opportunities to help shape the direction of the company.

Cons

Poor communication across the board. Poor morale throughout the organization. A recent "cultural initiative overhaul" has resulted in even worse morale and lots of "talk" about how we all need to improve the company culture, followed by little action. Recent rollout of a new "Tinder-esque" application to "rate good or bad employees" by swiping left and right was very poorly received and offensive to a large number of seasoned professionals. Constant closed door meetings. Updates about company performance to employees are extremely rare. Meetings are generally a waste of time where nothing is ever accomplished, devolving into an argument between partners while everyone else surfs the web. Complete lack of focus and planning across the board. Arbitrary deadlines and iniatives based on promises to prospects that can change on a whim. Complete lack of long term planning. Lackluster benefits compared to similar organizations.

As a growing organization focused on building a great company and culture, we think feedback, both positive and negative, is really important. In fact, one of our cultural behaviors encourages our people to be "feedback friendly" and we take your comments about how we can do better very seriously. We also understand communication is critical, especially at our stage of growth, and in the busyness of all that we are trying to accomplish, acknowledge we have not done as good of a job as we can in providing our employees with regular updates. Here are some things we are doing going forward to help improve communication: • Continuing our monthly all-employee meetings and providing business updates at those meetings • Sharing key performance metrics with all employees on a monthly basis • Providing more regular and detailed updates on product features, enhancements, releases, etc. • Holding quarterly meetings with individual teams to listen to employees and brainstorm ways we can improve Additionally, we want to provide a way for employees to give feedback not only to each other, but also to the company, so we are now asking for feedback on the company’s performance using our online feedback technology. The intent of our feedback tool is not to rate "good" or "bad" employees, but rather to provide employees with real-time information to inform and drive their professional development. Similarly, we intend to use the feedback collected about Innovu to get a better pulse on how we’re doing and use that data to make improvements for the organization. Every day we strive to build a positive and welcoming culture at Innovu, and as part of that effort, we've openly posted all 31 of our cultural fundamentals on our website. We encourage all of our employees to “speak straight” and share their thoughts, ideas, and opinions, even if they aren’t popular. Thank you for your candid feedback, and if you would like to address your concerns specifically outside of Glassdoor, please don’t hesitate to schedule a conversation with HR, your manager, or a member of the executive team.

Great leadership through growth challenges!

Pros

Since joining the company more than a year ago the organization has embraced its difficult growth challenges head-on and has made remarkable progress with implementing new customer centric processes led by Lauren Gallagher the new VP Client Operations. Lauren led the company through a difficult but critical vendor and client onboarding transformation. I personally went from looking for a new job to actively recruiting friends to join Innovu. The positive energy and commitment across the company to improving every day is a great place to work. Remarkable change the past year!

Cons

Leadership needs to keep focus on the cultural values that guided the company the past 6 months - this made the difference. Must keep hiring more people in vendor onboarding, PAC, data integration, data science, and technology development. You have great leadership within all of these teams.
