Fun people, boring job

Pros

Nice people to work with, lots of PhDs, international team, nice quarterly meetings and parties

Cons

Depending on the team, more or less micro-management is to be expected. Very poor internal communication, decisions are made with zero transparency and exclusively at top level. Mid-management is virtually non-existent although they claim otherwise Quite chaotic, with no clear vision

Pros

- Coworkers are empathetic because everyone is under high stress - Quarter meetings in nice hotels and fancy restaurants

Cons

Inspiralia claims to be an R&D company but it is a group of “friends” which saw the chance to set up a SME Instrument factory with abusive contracts to clients, and half of their employees hired as false freelancers. No career development is possible as there are only 3 positions: lie writers, cheating sellers or arrogant managers. You can become head of writers/sellers by friendship and submission, never by effort, results or skills. Focused on submitting a high number of projects, regardless of the quality. Clients and projects are not treated with the minimum care, workers are always overloaded and expected to be 24/7 available (weekends, holidays…). This ends up in frustration, many burnouts and dismissals. The ones who stay longer is because they say “yes to everything” but pass the problem to others.

Consulting factory

Pros

You will work with people with very different backgrounds. You will meet many innovative startups. You will be exposed to startups and innovative businesses.

Cons

The top management completely ignores employees' inputs regarding workload. You will work weekends and nights because the workload is not balanced nor planned. When plannning the workload, they don't even take into account the number of people in the teams, people on a leave or part-timers, they just assign the same workload to every team. They increase workload 30% every year matter what. It is a consultancy managed as a chicken factory.
