Terrible place to work

Pros

As a fresher, you'll be exposed to a wide range of functions.

Cons

1. For a company that prides itself as an EI expert, the management lacks basic empathy for their employees. Employees are treated terribly here. 2. Employees are subjected to crazy and stressful work hours in the pretence of 'stretch goals'. 3. Typical 'Mom & Pop shop' setup where the management has zero accountability. When things are tough, employees are assumed to be always at fault, where as the Management does not feel the need to introspect their role in the situation. 4. It is common for management to yell at employees in the middle of the office. Even freshers aren't excused for the slightest of mistakes. It is not uncommon for freshers to have a meltdown at least once a month.

Pros

- Horizontal and vertical development of professional skills and competencies - Abundance of learning opportunities - High degree of job variety that can keep you motivated - Supportive peers and colleagues who are more like family

Cons

- Mid-managerial band of leaders can be strengthened to develop their leadership capabilities - Organizational culture can be more millennial friendly (considering more than 50 per cent of the organization consists of millennial, it might be of greater value for the organization to evaluate and align its practices with the new age) - Recognition and appreciation can be more regular and on the spot, and not reactive and annual

Not a good work culture

Pros

Some of the employees were really great to work with. Some leaders are good mentors.

Cons

The leader demonstrates a toxic mindset toward work. While there is frequently emphasis on the importance on research, established research on the importance of flexibility, autonomy and work life balance is consistently ignored. The organisation follows regressive policies like sandwich leave, offers no flexibility for work from home, enforces strict lunch timings and fosters a culture of scolding and demeaning employees. Decision making is highly centralised with only one key decision maker, which makes the likelihood of any progressive change extremely low. Additionally, there is an implicit gender bias within the organisation, reflected in problematic statements about female employees and regressive views on the roles and capabilities of men vs women.
