Fired someone for being transgender!

Pros

The CEO has the best intentions for Instabill.

Cons

First off, if you're going to work at Instabill, you need to already have a firm understanding of an effective sales process, because Instabill doesn't really have an effective sales model. I mean management is more worried about the fad diet of the week that never sheds off those bloaty extra pounds than putting together a solid and proven track record. If I wasn't already seasoned with several effective sales processes going into Instabill, I would have undoubtedly failed. Simply put, I know what works. I have proven it as a General Manager at my current role and similar jobs in my past career development. Instabill is lost when it comes to sales and the post-sale process. It's a shame, because if they would've been open to the simple and effective techniques that I brought with me to Instabill when I was hired, undoubtedly management wouldn't have to fire so many people for not "catching on." Enough about that. It gets me angry how there isn't one true sales person in that office. Not one. Unless these guys have a lay down on the line, they're not going to make a sale. About firing. I think firing people is the worst part of my current and past jobs, but it does need to be done. While working at Instabill, I've seen management (I can't make this up) get excited to fires someone. Get excited instead of try and make the employee successful, but -- when you don't really know Jack about sales -- how can you train someone? So, yeah, the management at Instabill really loves to fire people. One day I was told by management that one of the employees is transgender, or at least their was a strong possibility of it. They wanted my input, which I had none, because I never showed up to work to gossip with management about a transgender employee. The next day, seriously I cannot make this up, the transgender employee was fired. Prior to being fired, I was pulled aside and spoken to. I was told that this person was going to get fired, and I needed to know it had nothing to do with the speculation that this employee was probably a man who identifies as a woman. I was told it was bad timing, and that's all, that Instabill is down with the clown when it comes to "drag queens" (yes, the term "drag queen" was used during this conversation as a substitute for "transgender." Seriously, someone actually said this to me: "Drag queens are cool. We at instabill are supportive of drag queens." Instabill also gossips non-stop about each other. It comes from every direction. Hell, even the CEO gets gossiped about for allegations that have yet to be proven. People even gossip about their own dirty laundry. Talk trash about their upbringings and poor personal choices. Instead of being taught an effective sales process. I've heard stories about DHHS taking kids away from families, drug addicted daughters who snort up Ritalin, being raised in a cult, how being a nanny pays better than Instabill. My point is, I learned more about people's personal lives than about any concrete subject matter that could advance my career. Much of the conversations of gossip happen in Skype. When the room is quiet, and all that you can hear are fingertips hitting keys, you bet your bottom dollar there is some smack talk happening. I saved a bunch of mine after I knew I was going to resign. Still don't know what I'm going to do with these incriminating instant messages from leadership trash talking employees instead of making them successful. These all are engrained in the Instabill culture, unfortunately, and it's a shame because the CEO really would love for each of his employees to succeed.

Pros

It's a paycheck? It's a great industry but you won't make the money there. Work for a payment processing company that has long time invested employees.

Cons

Unstable, Micro-managed, a CEO who only cares about the money going into his offshore bank accounts. Don't be fooled it This is a degrading place to work the management micro-manages you rather than letting you be a professional and run your own business. The CEO only cares about taking the best deals for himself and sending his money offshore.

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate any and all input on how we can become a better company, and we too believe the merchant services industry is ‘great,’ and potentially lucrative. We regret, however, that your experience at Instabill was anything but positive. Our sales staff are provided guidelines with ample assistance, particularly when starting at Instabill. Our sales staff are expected to make a certain amount of phone calls and answer live chat inquiries to leads and prospective merchants per day. Our most successful salespeople are those who meet their phone/live chat quotas. By doing this, the sales portion takes care of itself. We currently have a terrific staff and we are thrilled to report very high numbers at the end of Q2 and already a strong start to Q3. While we stand behind out practices, we are certainly proud of our ‘A+’ rating by the Better Business Bureau and our ‘A’ rating by CardPaymentOptions.com. Thank you again for your feedback. Terrible Place to work

Pros

Interesting businesses come through the door from all over the world.

Cons

The Owner is constantly changing the compensation plan in order to NOT pay his employees. Make sure you use your earned time before you provide your notice or they will not pay you for it. Poorly executed Gateway solutions provided for Clients. Employees are often left explaining why a Gateway has not been set up once a client has paid a set up fee and signed a contract. Office environment is not professional or pleasant. Management pits employees against one another and biased individuals are responsible for dividing up the leads. Churn and Burn environment from both a sales and a technical perspective. You are expected to work hours well past your scheduled time. The CEO is a womanizer.

Thank you for your feedback about your experience at Instabill. We appreciate any and all input on how we can become a better company, and regret that you feel your experience at Instabill was disappointing. In January 2015, we implemented an added incentive to our sales staff that would pay them biannual bonuses based on a percentage of their clients’ credit card and ACH sales turnover. We utilize several secure payment gateways and our technical support staff is making major upgrades to the Instabill gateway (read about it on ECS-World.com). Working in a sales environment can be competitive, but our office setting is loose but serious and supportive. A look at some of our videos on our YouTube page reflect this – members of our sales staff regularly participate in them. To take advantage of the incentives we offer, members of our sales staff often work past the 40 hours they are required – we leave it as a personal decision to do so. Thanks again for your feedback.
