Pros

You learn a lot about the industry. Some of the people there are cool.

Cons

All the glassdoor reviews with 5 stars are fake. When I took this opportunity I wish I took into consideration of the negative ones. Hours are too long. Zack gives you jobs to do that you didn't sign up for, he then scrutinizes you and tries to find some kind of reason to get you to confess for something you didn't do. He doesn't want anyone talking about anything except for work. At least 10 people left/let go in the past 6 months.

The higher the growth rate of a company the more important it is that employees think on their feet, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and do whatever it takes, regardless of title or "what they signed up for", to get things done. Even if that means a sales manager has to take out the trash or the CEO needs to handle QA testing or HR or help with customer service during a production criss. (You get the idea.) Any issue an employee is asked to tackle is an issue that an employee should be willing to tackle, even if it's "beneath" his or her current title. (Great employees notice issues and jump in without being asked.) Being bitter and acting like "It's not my job" or "I didn't sign up for this" sends a clear message of "I care only about me." That type of attitude crushes the overall performance of a team because it quickly turns what might have been a strong team into a lower performing group. Yes when we have deadlines we need to meet to better serve our customers, sometimes the team pushes itself. (I won't apologize for that), I can't recall the last time though that someone from the BD team ever had to stay past 6:45pm... It's hard to find people who are smart, a good cultural fit, capable, dedicated and we don't always get it right but when we do, those people become apart of the family.

Pros

* Diverse group of professionals. * Working with people all over the world. * Pay is decent.

Cons

* CEO is too involved in day-to-day functions, won't give up any control or trust employees. * Extremely high turnover, most of the executive leadership team quit at the same time - Why hire smart people if you aren't willing to listen to them? * Stuck in strategy, nothing moves forward. * Not really amazing at any product, just mediocre at all of the products in the umbrella. * Unrealistic expectations from CEO on workflows. * Instead of training people to improve the company will fire them. * Very toxic culture. * Though it is a global company, CEO forces everyone to work east coast hours. Folks in India, the Ukraine, etc work overnight.

Disaster of a company

Pros

Genuinely struggling to find something positive to say... the high turnover of staff means you might meet cool people...

Cons

The CEO is a child. Wants to be involved in everything, does not trust opinion of employees, thinks he can do everything resulting in low morale. A super stressful environment with regular rounds of firing, so you live week to week... never experienced anything like it before... Honestly, just don't bother even applying, really is a stain on your professional experience to work here.

This is genuinely inaccurate and a review designed to hurt Insticator's reputation using defamation. I would encourage anyone interested in Insticator to reach out to former or current employees through linkedin to get an accurate picture of what our organization is like.
