Fake reviews?

Pros

Worked with some really good people

Cons

Layed off when the shop closed. Saw a Review left in May saying to "keep up the good work"? How good is it when the shop closed. Everyone was let go? Are they leaving fake reviews?

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We were truly saddened when changes to our customer base forced us to close our Carrollton branch. As you stated, we had a great team of employees working for us there and we wish them all the best in their future careers.

Pros

Very good work/life balance. Flexible PTO and vacation, several paid holidays for salary employees. Sabbatical program gives one month off with pay every 7th year. Relaxed work environment. Lots of events and potlucks to keep everyone excited about the calendar and the weather. Donuts and bagels on Fridays. Great people to work with, very few bad apples. Big business plans mean there is plenty to do if you're willing and capable. CEO is intelligent and methodical, no emotional decisions or reactions. Some positions see international travel opportunities.

Cons

Pay is well below average, in some cases by more than $10k. No bonuses in 2014, no explanation why. Average raise barely keeps pace with inflation on a bad year, if raises happen. Limited benefits and cutting employer contributions; 401k match was slashed while saying people should save more for retirement. Office politics have been a bad experience in the last 5-6 years with no outlook for changing. Few outside training chances, fewer if it costs a lot of money. Professional development is lacking. Aggressive business plans can feel daunting and unsupported. No promotion chances for most positions.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We’re sorry about your experience while working at ISS. We know that the restructuring that took place in 2019 was challenging for our employees, who we agree are a wonderful group of people to work with. In 2020 we are focusing on building our company by pursuing new customers, products and opportunities.
