Pros

Good for entry level and gain experience for short term.

Cons

Micro managed by Narendra. The guy is insane to work for, he promotes a negative work atmosphere with zero company culture. Every day you don't know what to expect, a easy going owner or a raged filled owner dumping company stess on employees like a child. There's a new high priority task that needs to be addressed immediately every day. There is no HR at Insubuy, the only person you can go-to for issues is the owner. The development process is awful, and disorganized much like the company. The office is boring and the 9-5 gets very old here.

Insubuy is a reputed insurtech company and is a leading marketplace for almost 20 years. Insubuy is a trailblazer in its industry and is involved in ground breaking and disruptive technologies that are cutting edge. We don't stand behind others in line. Line starts from where stand. We believe in providing the best service to our customers and that requires that the websites and the systems of our company be modern, accurate, up to date and with the correct logic. Unlike managers and CEO in many other companies, as Narendra comes from a technical background, he is easily be able to catch if any employee is trying to misrepresent the work, is lazy, makes repeated mistakes and is unable to meet the minimum standards. Leader should be able to help, coach and provide solutions and that is not called micro management. Insubuy currently has around two dozen people in the IT department and if a particular employee is competent enough to make the independent decision and produce sufficient work, Insubuy provides complete flexibility and authority.

Pros

Not working for Narendra and his wife.

Cons

Narendra is a verbally abusive boss. He cuts corners and takes advantage of people. The pay is not in line with the industry. But what kind of money is worth being verbally abused?

This review clearly shows the deep regrets of an ex-employee who made the mistake of leaving our company well over 10 years ago over trivial matters. If she were still employed with the us, she would definitely have been in senior management. World's largest companies have started in the garage including Amazon, Apple, Microsoft and Google, just to name a few and there is nothing wrong with that. Any employee is always free not to accept the job offer, if that were not acceptable to them at that time. Insubuy's founders are proud to have started the company from scratch and brought it to such a level where the company is worth more than $100 million dollars now. In any case, Insubuy currently does not operate out of garage. Insubuy has a large two story 22,016 Sq Ft office building facing George Bush Turnpike close to Coit Road exit in Plano, Texas. Anyone is welcome to visit our office and check it out themselves. Google search Insubuy and see our office photos. Or visit https://www.insubuy.com/about-us/. You can judge yourself. This review was posted a couple of months after we moved to our current headquarters consolidating multiple smaller offices. This ex-employee obviously noticed this new big building and is clearly jealous and regrets everyday for leaving such fast growing company with such bright future.

Pros

Great pay, Hour-long lunch (plenty of time to run errands, if needed), Bi-weekly pay cycle

Cons

Where do I even start? Lets start off with a fore-warning: if you're ever fired or quit, and you try to write a negative review anywhere, Narendra will whine a throw a fit to who ever run the website and have them either delete or flag your review. I've tried to write quite a few honest reviews to no avail because he'll have them removed or he'll write a positive review himself to discredit yours (ie. that "executive" writing a review? that position doesn't exist but it's been written by Narendra to counter my first review.) So now that I got that out of the way, lets talk about the backwards company that is by some act of God, still around. For starters, their training program is nothing more than a joke. Their employment contract states that if you leave within the first year, you'll owe them $1,000 for training expenses. Yes read that right, $1,000 because you sat in your cubicle reading a packet and a poor put together website for 8 hours a day, for a few weeks. ill finish this later.

Please note that the training at our company is a fully paid training, including when person is reading the web site to understand the products. No one comes to our office with any prior experience of selling travel medical insurance. The company spends a lot of time and money including putting the job advertisements, short listing candidates, interviewing them, hiring them, training them thoroughly until they are ready to do productive work. You may not realize but the company spends well over $10,000 in preparing one employee who is ready to be productive. If that employee has absolutely no interest in doing the job or reporting to work on time, is lazy or tardy all the time, the company has no reason than to terminate them at some point, after giving them numerous warnings at different times. Most people that are terminated from work are the ones who fail to report to work on time due to various reasons only they know. Therefore, putting $1,000 clause to deter such people from joining the company is not unreasonable. Moreover, every candidate knows about this clause at the time of interview and they willingly sign. Therefore, there is no reason to complain later. We sincerely hope that people be more sincere about work and we don't have to attempt to collect that from anyone. You have purposefully not mentioned another type of offer where people don’t have to pay back $1,000 but get a reduced pay during the training and you get that pay difference later anyway. You have not mentioned that if the person reports to job on time for one year, there is $1,000 attendance bonus. Yes, $1,000 bonus just to show up to work every day.
