Pros

* The engineering team overall is passionate and wants to continue to build features that provide value to customers * Yearly retreats for the whole company * Remote first* (unless you live at headquarters) * Well known clients * The overall tool serves a good purpose

Cons

* Structure & process that is so far behind the rest of the industry and their competitors. If you ask about improving it, leadership & ceo will tell you that there is no reason to change * Leadership is *never* wrong. It is _you_ that needs to change your attitude (even with data and customer feedback to back it up) * No autonomy and full of micromanagement. You build what the ceo decides on a whimsy just because he had a conversation with 1 person from Google and Meta that complained. * "We're a 20 year startup" is not the flex you think it is. * Codebase & db is a house of cards. Just waiting for it to topple over * No such thing as transparency * You *will* get yelled/screamed at for something, and it is just the status quo * DEI is just an acronym they use to pretend they have their s*** together on Linkedin * (Un)Documented sexual harassment will be given a slap on the wrist and a 'warning' (too many people are scared to speak up)

Poorly run company.

Pros

The non executive staff are great and make it worthwhile. The company does give you a $4000 personal development budget each year to spend on what you like which is also great. They have just started doing the company retreat again, this year we went to Mexico, last year was Asheville. Basically a 4 day drinking vacation!

Cons

The whole executive team. The ceo isn’t a ceo he’s a product engineer who tries to run a company. There’s a reason you don’t see him speak at conferences or post on social media. As previous posts mentioned if you’re not google or Meta he doesn’t care about you as a client. The previous mentions in other posts of sexual harassment is true and the company does nothing about it. There is a really positive post a few months ago that was written by the ceo himself but disguised as an employee!
