Pros

You get to dress anyway you like. Good benefits. Free Coffee. Yeah, that's about it... Core Company beliefs are actually good.

Cons

Horrible Executive Management. CEO loves to have ego stroked. It is a "Good Old Boys Club" they Upper management protects their own and people who actually work are walked all over. The less you work the more likely you will keep your job. Bad pay, 2015 was the 1st announced pay raise in 5 years. You need to be in the "Club" to get those otherwise. And those are hush-hush. No opportunity for advancement.

Change only starts at the top, Mr. CEO.

Pros

Most peers and upper management are hard-working, collaborative "team" units. Work is interesting and challenging - allows for learning opportunities and growth. Most departments are changing which grants the idea of "create your place" and "be a part of the change" within the groups/organization, which is very attractive for some. Clear Mission provides purpose for most - and becoming more intimate with the Membership is more important each day. There is ALWAYS something new to learn.

Cons

CEO still clings to the idea that it is 10 years ago - and that the ICC is not growing. We face culture issues because we still pretend we are a part of the 'good ole boys' network back in the 'good ole days'. Unfortunately, he micromanages his senior advisors and does not allow them to make decisions for their own. This holds back the majority, and promotes a culture of distrust and discredit instead of encouraging his people to develop even better employees and make decisions based upon their departments. Pay across the board is totally misguided and there is no clear understanding of when people will get appropriate pay since the last wave years ago - unless you are in his corner. Changes that he keeps pushing should come from the top down, but it is always encouraged for changes to occur at the bottom level without his support. Chasing the next new idea seems to be a trend for him these past few years as employees are always hearing about new initiatives that are never followed through at his level. It is unfortunate that our CEO holds unrealistic expectations about things he might consider relevant, that are the total opposite because he is not in touch with his employees.

AUG 27, 2018 email from VP level

Pros

ICC is doing everything possible to increase presence in the world...as any company should be doing these days. Everyone in the company is trying to put a "best foot forward."

Cons

Prior to Aug 27, 2018, there were about 3 reviews of ICC on GlassDoor. In order to improve ICC's GlassDoor rating (about 2.8 at that time), an ICC VP broadcast a company-wide email, requesting employees review (hopefully positively) ICC. This is why you will see a slew.of reviews soon after Aug 27. Unfortunately, some employees saw this as an opportunity to do some bashing that SHOULD have been voiced to either the company-provided anonymous email box, or to HR by anonymous letter or a one-on-one private consultation. Given those opportunities, there shouldn't be a need for folks to air their complaints in a public forum such as this. It was risky on management's part to invite employees to chime in because for certain, the bad will come with the good. Readers should be able to discern those reviews where folks appear to have a personal vendetta and those that are overly exuberant indicating perfection exists at ICC. Read between the lines to come to your own conclusions....
