Pros

If you know the right people can get promoted

Cons

Long hours. Lack of management and security. Backstabbing people. No sense of belonging or even that there's order or real management inside the warehouse.

Pretty dreadful...

Pros

basic holiday entitlement but increases each year of service up to an additional 5 day, you can buy extra holiday or sell any that you have accrued over basic allowance, discount on sending parcels, life assurance payout to a named person/s of your choice if you die in service. Monthly bonus scheme - chance of earning £50 bonus each month if whole company performs well, not really representative given company profits in recent years. A staff member of the month scheme operates, but it doesn't work on number of votes, it works on who management think deserves - therefore expect to notice a pattern of the same winners recurring.

Cons

Working here came as an abusive employer/employee relationship, management can come across as bullies, manipulative and under-handed. ILG is only the right place to work for certain individuals, the type that aren't there to make friends, the type that don't mind stepping on anyone to further themselves, those who are very two-faced etc. Rules only apply to some people. If you break the rules and you're in with the right clique, not a problem. Break the rules and you're in the wrong clique - watch out, you're in trouble. Whatever you do, don't have a long term/chronic illness - despite being offered a seemingly generous sick pay scheme, you can and will get a disciplinary even if you've not even used a quarter of what the "entitlement" is. They'll then stop you receiving it all together. Don't expect a said "thank you" very often, that's what your basic wages are for. They're always understaffed in all departments - probably because they're taking staff away to have a meeting about what meeting to have next or what colour flowers to put in reception. If you can pretend well and not interested in receiving a good wage, this may be the place for you. If you just want to get on with life without dramas, ridiculous company politics and playground gossip - go elsewhere.

Pros

A positive attitude to work, mainly opportunities to progress within the company

Cons

Too many opportunities see those who are unfit for management roles promoted on a whim
