Pros

-Nice co-workers, depending on department -Pays for your health insurance but not your family. CON - you are taxed on this because Switzerland counts this as part of your salary -Right by the lake -Flex work although depends on department

Cons

-Visa status if you are on a legitimation card -Toxic, overly political, old-fashion, boys club culture -No professional growth -You get "rewarded" with a title change if you stay LONG but your job is the same -No innovation, new ideas not welcomed. Do not rock the boat -Encouraged not to ask for anything but to be thankful you work at the IOC -Top management makes significantly more than staff -Most Heads Of and higher do not change despite being the problem -IOC likes to hire people from places that are struggling so they always have the upper hand. There is the sense that this is the best place for you because the alternative is worse, so be thankful and shut up -No black or brown people above senior manager level -Hypocritical - preaches gender equality but most higher management positions are held by men -Have to retire

Pros

Flexibility Sport culture Local public transport covered Home office

Cons

Salary Efficiency Stability (They offer one short-term contract after another, even though this is not really legal in Switzerland. Let’s say they operate in a “gray area,” which is quite disappointing for such an organization.) Very hierarchical, with employees required to follow top management without having the opportunity to express themselves.
