Worst Company Ever

Pros

The departments are EXTREMELY cliquey. It makes it hard to do your job. I woke up every single morning dreading coming into work. Employees would literally spend their day looking into your life, gossiping, and shopping instead of doing their work. Horrible, horrible experience.

Cons

Cliques; uninspiring work; unmotivated employees ("That's not my job" attitude); poor management; little room to move up; nothing is based on merit

Management can't manage their egos

Pros

2 remote days per week Team members are mostly friendly and share your misery Large cubicles Slackers delight (if that's what you like) Some people come in at noon and shutdown for coffee at 3:30

Cons

A lot of infighting between middle management causes toxic environment. Trickles down to team and puts everyone in bad political position when trying to be helpful inter-department. Upper management for some reason thinks they are better than you and pretty much ignores your existence unless they HAVE to talk to you. Most are only management due to "time-served" not because of high level strategical thinking. Projects are very disorganized and mismanaged. They don't believe in project management which causes chaos. Not agile. Most decisions made by people that are not experts. More afraid of losing than gaining revenue.

Pros

You get paid? That's really all I can think of. Save yourself your sanity and don't even apply here. Life is too short to waste it here.

Cons

They steal from your paycheck. Creative and/or critical thinking is highly discouraged. They have the wrong people in key roles. They are hemorrhaging money because they will not change anything they've done for the past 15 years. Two people on the marketing team make all the decisions for the whole company. Tech leadership team is a complete joke. They have zero backbone and cave into the 2 key stakeholders on marketing. They won't promote you. They encourage "yes men" and do not want you to think. The actual Sunset building is ugly and outdated as much is their way of thinking. There is no sense of community. Too much too list really...
