Pros

There is free snacks and a roof over our head. The office is pretty central. Free parking. I have an income.

Cons

Where to begin? Turnover is absolutely a joke. I think it must be 60-80%. People come for a job and quickly find out that it is the worst place to work. You will soon notice the only employees to stick around drank the owners kool aid. They will soon find themselves jobless when the company goes under. Speaking of the owners...really? Do you guys really think you have an ounce of credibility, integrity and respect left? How do you go to sleep at night? Start looking into other business ventures because this ship has sailed.

Pros

I can't think of any. Free parking is nice

Cons

Where do I begin? Other posters are exactly right. It seems like a good place when they take you on a tour, but then you learn how things really work...or not work. I have no idea how these guys are staying in business. I agree with other posters on their assessment of leadership. There is none. Three clueless guys lucked out and own the company and have no idea how to run it...They even said so themselves during a class. They appointed 4 people to run the company who have very little experience. They are very threatened by knowledgeable people. You cannot speak up when things aren't going well or you are the next to go. They have one large contract but that will go away soon I am sure. They are trying the advertising route, but they don't know the first thing about advertising. Depending on which department you are in, you either have zero work to do or there are unreasonable demands placed on you from management to kiss up to the one client. That's what happens when you only have on spoon to feed you. They try to get more work and basically try for anything and everything...mostly project based work that is unreasonable and small stuff. Even if you are desperate for a job, do yourself a favor and do not work here. If I can steer away one person from this awful place, I have done my job.

Pros

iostudio may be a great opportunity for an entry-level employee looking to get going. A lot of your team members may be willing to help you along your path. There are definitely some good people working at iostudio.

Cons

iostudio is not a stable work environment. They have one very large client that pays most of the bills; this brings about the illusion of stability. If they were to lose said client, 90% of the employees would be cut, without question. iostudio forces something called "ioUniversity" down everyone's throat. You're forced to attend X amount of classes per semester and even take electives; just like college. The problem is, none of these classes actually relate to your job. Expect below market value for what you're worth, and expect iostudio to demand perfection. If you're not overly outgoing, positive, and upbeat, it won't matter how great you are at your job, iostudio seems to value in attitude alongside skill/performance; you can't have one without the other here. The worker-to-manager ratio is quite disproportionate. Expect to see a project manager for every 2-3 developers.
