Pros
The company is flexible with your schedule and encourage people who go to college. It is a smaller company, so the people you work with feel like friends compare to acquaintances.
Cons
Management is non-existent. The owner has a person in charge policy which can lead to lack of action. Even if you tell managers what needs to be fixed, or what tools the kitchen is lacking, it has to be approved by the owner. We had a broken faucet (no cold water, only hot) and leaks in ceiling that took weeks to fix. I have seen the owner yell at his employees just to have one quit a week later. I have had co-workers tell me that a kitchen without the owner operates smoothly. And I agree to that. He will nitpick the smallest things while letting his equipment fall to the wayside before fixing it. Lastly, the communication between, FOH, BOH, and management doesn't exist. There will be days when life is good and everything is flowing smoothly, but then there are days where everyone is being passive aggressive because everything is in chaos.
