Pros

I can't think of a single pro.

Cons

No amount of money is worth the mental exhaustion and anguish you will experience upon accepting any position at this company. If you have already interviewed, I’m sure you heard that they’re “one big family.” You probably think the role you have applied for is extremely competitive and you are wondering if you will get it. Don’t worry, you will. Turnover is extremely high. There are more open than filled positions. Workloads are extremely high. Burnout is real. Raises aren’t given (unless you’re a favorite or they’re bribing you to stay). Now to the details: The CEO is a simple minded man with a fragile ego. I truly wish that I was exaggerating and didn’t have multiple instances of proof that involved myself and others. He has unnecessarily screamed at females during their reviews causing them to cry, he has spoken horribly about employees behind their back during company meetings, and he fires or pushes out anyone that disagree or turns out to be more intelligent than him. He then allows people to keep their jobs because they are cute and/or nice (albeit stupid), regardless of performance. He is also best friends with the sole Human Resources employee, so don’t expect her to help you out. She will just watch you cry and turn her back. The rest of his staff isn’t particularly helpful, as they were brought up by the CEO and his team. There isn’t much experience to be found as they only do things the “Ironistic way.” There’s no experience in management, real world agency life, or digital marketing outside Ironistic, therefore it’s difficult for employees to function on a regular basis. Teams are not managed well, nor are projects. You will be loaded with an unmanageable amount of billable work, then constantly hounded to complete unnecessary internal work like blog posts, bizarre internal accolades, etc. If you do not prioritize those you will be publicly shamed during company meetings. The overall environment is extremely toxic starting from the top and trickling down, causing frustration and strife among employees. While the job is remote, zero flexibility is allowed. You are expected to be at your computer from 8am - 5pm (at least). You’re expected to be on camera at all times, and are required to have a good excuse if not. If your green light is not lit on slack they will track you down. As your workload increases, the expectation to work late increases. There is zero respect for work/life balance, although they’ll sing a different song during your interview. During regular company and team meetings they will sing the Ironistic family songs, but once those are over leadership will immediately talk about everyone behind their backs (Including talking to employees about others they are planning on/would like to fire). When you find yourself needing some sort of recourse, there’s absolutely nowhere to go. Those in the position to help just ignore the blatant harassment, and instead often condone it. In summary, the toxic work environment is truly bad for ones mental health. No one should be harassed and then have no recourse without fear of losing their job. The high turnover rate is proof that this happens regularly. They like to hire young, cute, girls at low salaries that don’t know better coming in. This is your warning, ladies and gents. Take a job at Starbucks before coming here. The benefits are better, you have a better opportunity for advancement, and you will be protected from harassment. Hopefully this company will shut down soon. No company that treats human beings like this deserves to be in existence.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback on your brief time here. We're disappointed to hear you did not enjoy working with your fellow team members. Together with our clients, our team makes positive impacts, and we strive to continue onboarding amazing team members to every department within the organization. We take pride in the fact we have long-tenured employees who appreciate the culture we've created of promoting from within when strong performance and merit are routinely displayed. We also find value in our internal accolades to allow the team to recognize the fantastic work their fellow team members accomplish. As our company has expanded, employees have come from a broad range of diverse career experiences, and this leads to the best collaboration and company culture. We value our Iron way but are not limited by this. Just as all agencies operate, we highlight our proprietary approach as this provides us the platform to excel, stand out amongst our competition, and offer best-in-class service to our customers and employees. Regarding our time tracking process, our goal is to provide visibility to our teams and leadership on the hours contributed to the many projects and engagements we have in process. This is to ensure we use the team's time efficiently and effectively. We have discussed collectively as a team the various ways team members can better improve time tracking, so time is effectively spent. Ironistic offers a flexible work environment, where there is routinely a focus on work-life balance. There are numerous examples where accommodating work environments have been tailored when there is a need to do so. This takes place when the employee is open and honest about their situation. As we service clients across the continental US, there are expectations for employees to be available at certain hours of the workday. We value teamwork and a family-friendly environment. We want to highlight we made no layoffs during covid and provided covid-friendly working hours. Like all companies, we remained fluid in our approach to provide flexibility to our clients and our most important assets, our team members, for the most optimal experiences and service. HR would have been happy to help address your concerns while you were here. We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.

Pros

Food and event perks are provided.

Cons

Owners try to be friends with workers versus provide overall leadership, inappropriate discussions and teamwork divisions, HR is remote and doesn't appear to know what she is doing.
