Pros
They try to be ethical. John Wayne, Sr. still knows every employee by name - he and his wife greeted me at the last Christmas party to say hello with regrets that we hadn't met before. Generally, they do try to find positions for employees when contracts end. OJT, when available, is great. Excellent electrical and mechanical leads in the shops.
Cons
Expertise in non-technical areas is not respected. Sr. Managers unable to recognize when others have to cover for work not being done by favored employees. While they generally don't micro-manage (a plus), they also don't give sufficient oversight when managers substitute personal preference for documented project goals.
