Pros

The working environment at J2 is truly inclusive and supportive. From the very beginning, I’ve felt a strong sense of belonging. Despite coming from a different industry with no prior knowledge of building science, I was welcomed with open arms. Everyone—from colleagues across departments to the principals themselves—has been approachable, friendly, and generous with their time and knowledge. What stands out most is the culture of collaboration and mentorship. Team members are not only willing to share their expertise but also genuinely care about each other’s growth, both professionally and personally. The leadership team, although busy, consistently makes time to support others, demonstrating a deep commitment to collective success. J2’s core values—transparency, help, hope, and happiness—strongly align with my own. This alignment, combined with the company’s inclusive culture, makes me feel inspired and motivated every day. I truly appreciate being part of a team where I am continuously learning, growing, and contributing meaningfully.

Cons

Nothing that I can think of.

Pros

J2 is a place for driven professionals who want to grow fast and make an impact. As a Sr. PM, you’re not just managing projects—you’re leading the charge, working directly with HOAs, general contractors, community managers, and attorneys. This gives you a unique, full-spectrum view of real estate, construction, and the legal system—experience that’s hard to get elsewhere. The work is meaningful; you see real transformation in communities and work closely with volunteers who are invested in the results. The mix of office time and fieldwork keeps things fresh, and with projects stretching from Bellingham to Tacoma, you’ll get to know the Seattle area in a way most people never do. If you’re ambitious, adaptable, and ready to hustle, J2 will reward you.

Cons

The work comes with high expectations and responsibility, as HOAs look to you to guide them through complex challenges. This can feel stressful at first, but you'll have support from other PMs, and as you gain experience, you’ll develop the systems and confidence to handle it effectively. You drive the pace, which can be fast-moving and dynamic—great for growth but potentially overwhelming for those who prefer a highly structured environment. You’ll also need to be comfortable wearing multiple hats, balancing work with HOAs, general contractors, community managers, and attorneys, requiring adaptability and strong organizational skills. Self-sufficiency and problem-solving are key to success, as this isn’t a place for passive execution. Since the work is client-driven, expectations can be demanding, and strong communication and relationship management skills are a must.

Pros

If you are a driven worker, management will clearly outline the steps you can take to advance in the company and support you in your growth. The culture that fellow employees created was such a big plus, as I considered a lot of the employees like family. Very supportive environment and kind people that truly believe in the services that they provide their customers. If you like feeling a sense of accomplishment about your work, I would highly recommend considering J2 as your employer. Companies MO is to help its customers through challenging situations, you will get to experience SO many feel-good moments and know you are positively impacting your customers lives.

Cons

Maintaining high billable hours can be challenging/stressful at times if your project flows did not align with 8 hours of work every day.
