Pros

-Thorough training in the academy. The recruitment 101 is very effective and well structured. -Buddy system with senior management. -Great charity initiatives. -lots of social events and company days out etc if that floats your boat.

Cons

-lots of micromanagement. Work from home seen as a dirty word and is only offered as a token once a week. At best old fashioned, at worst controlling. -very cliquey. Clear in and out group. If you’re in the out group then watch out. -long hours with a lot of time wasting. Frowned upon if you leave at the designated end of the day at 6pm. -Real alpha male culture. Bragging about sexual exploits is common (including by some managers), e.g. asking people who their “top three” in the office are. -employees have very little voice. If concerns are raised about process then they’re often met with “that’s the way we do things here” as a response.

Pros

- very sociable, young team - buddy and mentoring scheme - learning by your own initiative - international working environment - bar in the office

Cons

- lack of training, endless cold calling and lack of structure at the start - your experience at JCW really depends on your manager - several new people will be taken on and then some will be fired as the months go on if their face doesn't fit - KPI and punishment driven environment - cliquey and petty between staff - inappropriate banter and sexual comments made by and encouraged by senior staff - lots of meetings and discipline action due to unprofessional behaviour at work - poor salary and commission structure

Pros

1 hour 30 mins lunch breaks when going to the gym. CEO Bootcamp. Boxing in the office. Annual black tie.

Cons

A very young demographic of employees. Associates hired tend to be from 18+ years old and with this comes inexperience in how to behave in a professional environment. But honestly, it's not professional in any way... very cliquey and constant gossip. There is also a lack of middle management. If you have a problem you have to go to the Directors which can be daunting. They also tend to ignore your problems and give an excuse anyway. Very controlled environment in terms of when to take lunch breaks, only 1 day working from home and daily KPIs. Micromanagement galore!! About 5 consultants have left so far in 2023 and they've fired another 5+ associates! Never seen so many people leave in such a short space of time. The office is also freezing and everyone has hot water bottles, or it's boiling hot (for approx. 2 weeks) in summer and unbearable. £25k base salary whilst being in the office 4 days a week is terrible. Honestly, the job is not worth the stress. The commission is poor and they'll try and find a loophole to not pay you the full amount.
