I have been working at JG Pest Control since last summer. I started as a trainee, I have carried out Treatments & Investigations with Senior Technicians that taught me using there experience. I now use that knowledge to carry it out into my own work load. Everyday is different this is what makes it most enjoyable working at JG Pest Control. I have done Bird Work , Day2day , Heat Treatments . Environmental disposals. I must say that I am honoured to be apart of James Gale's growing Pest Control Company. The Staff ...... Human Resources Amanda & Elise, any quires questions I have had. I get a same day response wether that via E-mail or a telephone call. I never have had a issue regarding my overtime or pay. Tech Line , Tech-line Manager Roy, whenever I have been unsure or I am need of assistance to guide me. Roy has always past on he valuable knowledge for me to pin point areas that I need to investigate or help me to determine what type of insect might be dealing with. Operations Manager CK , any tools or materials I need to help me finish my jobs that I might be short of which happens to anyone in all aspects , he will look into on were we can purchase tools or materials while still on the phone, he's so helpful when scheduling, regarding time slots. Scheduling Manager Trimms, most honest & down to Earth individual you will ever meet. He is also helpful big time. Seb , another office team member, Once I was on a big job which involed a loft clearance & relay of insulation & internal proofing. He contacted me 3-4 times a day to see if I was okay & the Technicians. He kept me up to date on insulation, skip deliveries etc , if things are running smoothly. I have even had the board of director taken there time out to talk to me on how if feel my job & how I am getting on which is a bonus. Also helpful Matt F , Sam , Adam , Sophie & Karen funniest women I have met its a pleasure to work you guys & the rest of the team. I have had two serious Family Matters in the space of 3-4 weeks. Roy , Elise & Chris T, were so helpful & considerate on the day I couldn't make it into work , when I asked if I can be excused. ....

Cons

The only Con I have is that, not pin pointing but I DO NOT agree with Negative Reviews left by formerly Employees,. But Everyone entitled to there own opinion. To gain respect , you have to give respect.

High pay to make up for lack of respect

Cons

Overtime never paid. Poor communication. High price for low quality work. Expected to Lie to customers. No waste management. No understanding of "logistics". Sales lines promising unrealistic work. Management have no real understanding of pest control. Constant threatening of money deduction over uncontrollable events, I. E customer refuses to pay. Lack of communication resulting in arrival at jobs with no understanding why. Never carrying out your own follow up work. Many many more.

Thank you for providing us with a review of working at JG Pest Control, we are always disappointed when we receive negative feedback from a former employee. We have to respectfully disagree with the comments you raise under Cons. We have a number of channels for communication and to raise any issues employees may be having in relation to their role. Any misunderstanding regarding work and logistics can be raised via our QA team, operations, HR or the relevant line manager. Our overtime is paid based on the hours that technician’s submit daily, based on the additional hours worked. The only occasion this is not paid is if it isn’t submitted. All of our management team are both RSPH Level 2 trained and CRRU, they all began their positions with JG on the road undertaking customer jobs, therefore have a solid understanding of pest control. Money deductions are only ever made if a customer has paid and the money has not been paid in by the employee. Employees are reminded before it reaches this stage that they still have company monies in their possession. All information relating to jobs and job instructions, technicians should read these before attending a job to ensure they understand the nature of the customers issue. We do not expect any of our technicians to attend a job without understanding what the issue is. We are sorry JG Pest Control wasn’t the right company for you and wish you the best for the future.
