You get the consistent impression that the agents simply do not matter to the management. They are focused on pleasing the banks (whom they have contracts with to perform loss mitigation services) and accomplishing every assignment "on time." The pay is very misleading. Upon joining, you are told that you will be making a certain amount per assignment, which sounds great but once you take out for gas, repairs, office products etc. On good weeks, you are probably making close to $12-$15 at the most. I put 70K miles per year on numerous vehicles ANNUALLY and every couple years was needing a replacement vehicle. This will chew up much of what you think you are making. They are crafty in changing the pay structure without the workers fully realizing what they doing. No benefits whatsoever. No Christmas bonus (not even a letter of thank you around the holidays. I found this extremely insulting because I gave them 100% of my capabilities). You only hear from the company President via email when more is being required of you or they are strategically cutting your pay. Bottom line, the industry is dog eat dog. JMA can't afford to pay much more than they are to agents or they would be out of business. I would not recommend this unless it is your last resort. (which in my case, it was for quite a while). Finally, you could give 100% to these guys for 5 years or more and because they do not allow your Regional Manager (the only person on board who really will come to know you well) to serve as employment references on a worker's resume, they will not so much as be available to commend you, should you be interviewing for a job. They will forward this responsibility to HR, who does not know you from Adam and could not care less about your needs, hopes and dreams. This was the icing on the cake for me. Extremely insulting and borderline cruel. There are so many more negative things I could say that are based on truth and are coming from someone who is not bitter, but level headed, optimistic and appreciative of the good, but I will stop here so I do not overstate my case.
