Pros
Management are brilliant. Xbox in canteen. Good place & nice people overall to work BUT it is cold calling.
Cons
My target went up from an reasonable achievable £2000k a month to a ludicrous £5000 a month, during the beginning of a pandemic trying to sell advertising with an aging local newspaper was extremely difficult. You has the same leads drop through and you'd honestly cringe at the thought of trying to gain access to talk to a higher up via the gatekeeper. Incentives were poor, leave half an hour early on a Friday if you bring in (enter £ here that was needed that week). I've been in sales about a decade now and I found this job insanely difficult. I moved to a different company with a lower basic and since that move, even with the lower basic, I make at least £800 more a month where I am now. Unfortunately this job drove me to stress. Managers saying "you can do it", "you're a great salesman". Nah. I'm a true believer in, if a product is that good, you don't need to overcome any major objections. Even doing pre-coverage scripts before calls didn't eliminate objections. I'm sorry to say but my favourite time at this job was stuck at home furlough!
