Pros

Free lunch, hard-working, great coworkers, good benefits and PTO, above average pay for the industry

Cons

Aside from the above pros, there are too many cons to even list! Similar to what the other reviews conclude, the culture here is ridiculous. I have never worked for a company where employee morale was so low, turn over was so high, the energy was so negative, and upper management was so political, disrespectful, immature, unfocused, and unfit for their status's. Please take this as a fair warning and don't ignore the red flags like myself and many others here did, and stay away if you're considering a position here. Trust, me there's much better out there. Everyone here is spread ridiculously thin, and other than struggling to keep up with their own functions, priorities change literally every day, as senior management is constantly altering "processes" because they struggle to lead, causing anxiety across all departments. There are few managers here who are notorious for starting trouble and creating hostility between other departments as if they're in some juvenile competition to impress the CEO. Political games truly do hurt the culture here, and a lot of what goes on is extremely unethical (there is no HR department, FYI). The awkward, dysfunctional culture creates a huge gap in communication between many departments so they're almost never aligned and any sort of meeting held to attempt to re-align is very uncomfortable and results in safety follow-ups in case one person "drops the ball" so managers can have someone to blame or sometimes uses their own people as scapegoats. The level of insecurity and immaturity amongst a couple managers is unlike anything I've witnessed and if you're serious about self-development and personal enrichment, a culture like this and this kind of energy is nothing you need to experience. You'll end up unhappy, uninspired, and mentally drained like 90% of the employees there currently. It is very disappointing to work around this and people are leaving and/or trying to leave every day.

Pros

• Free Bristol Farms Lunch • Travel to Nike HQ: depending on what dept you work in • Nike discounts if you're lucky enough to travel to Nike HQ • Health, Dental, Vision, 401k

Cons

The biggest knock against "JR" is that the culture is very toxic and the morale in the entire building is in the toilet. Pressure and expectations are very high, but management support is very low. It is a culture of survival through blaming. If you're the whiny, constantly complaining and blaming type, you advance. Most department heads are so inept, that if there is a team member below them skilled in being a loud complainer, they cater to them out of fear of they themselves being complained about. There is no spirit of teamwork, or reward for talent or merit. There is very unprofessional behavior, gossip, back-stabbing, infighting and throwing under the bus that happens regularly between some of the executive team leaders. At some point your boss will talk crap in front of his team about someone else's boss there. If you are looking for a mentoring opportunity, this is not the place for you. Everyone is too overworked and paranoid to extend any kind of help in building your career. You really are on your own. Bonus structure seems to change yearly. It's based less on individual accomplishments and more on company performance against certain goals that you may not even have direct influence on. The review process is vague, uncomfortable and outdated. The sell the company makes is that you get to work with one of the top brands. The truth is that they are a licensee with very strict guidance from Nike, so don't expect much creative freedom. They also have royalties to pay, so your budgets are that much smaller. You are not really "working for Nike".

Pros

- decent product with a Nike swoosh - employee events - made networking connections within the company and with customers - learned about what individuals weren't willing to sacrifice for management that wouldn't acknowledge the efforts of its employees who were loyal to the brand and company mission - volunteer opportunities with charities

Cons

- pay scale and bonus plans were not competitive or equal for men and women regardless of experience and current achievements - some upper management executives are "friends" of the CEO and don't truly have the management skills to run their departments - shady business practices - favortism - lack of corporate professionalism (this varied based on situations)
