Fun environment but challenges for women on-site
Pros
great if they like you and you're in the in-group, super fun love the people in estimating when i was on site, i had an uncomfortable experience with a subcontractor very early on, but the team handled it very well and was super supportive quality of experience greatly depends on your team and leads. if you're lucky, you'll leave as lifelong friends. if you're unlucky, you will be a bit neglected
Cons
as a woman on site during my super rotation, i often felt quite isolated. i've heard similar things from several others female on-site employees. many of the men on site barely looked me in the eyes or spoke to me, and some were a little too comfortable talking to me lol program generally expects a lot of initiative, was quite disorganized. worked from 7am-6pm when i worked on site. while i was explicitly told this was not expected, it was the social standard
