I started my career with JVT Advisors essentially right out of college with no experience whatsoever. The first couple of months I was terrible on the phone adjusting to an office culture for the first time, unsure if this was the right industry for me. My team lead, Ovrille Gonsalves, was patient and very resourceful when I had any sort of question. The guy is a human encyclopedia, perfect for training entry level recruiters without micromanaging.
After that, I quickly found great success as a result of the client quality JVT has and the tools needed to produce. Consistent req flow with a lot of opportunity to fill jobs if you put the hard work in.
Torin Dragsbaek is the best boss I’ve ever had and probably ever will have. He is fair and generous, someone you want to work for. The company is always doing monthly events and parties to keep morale high, along with president club trips for top performers that were always so much fun. The coworkers/employees are great people, which is the truly what made my time there enjoyable. Some are lifelong friends that I’ve made during my 5 years there.
The recruiting industry isn’t for everyone, which is why most companies in the space have mixed reviews. For someone who is willing to put the effort in and truly wants to be successful, I’d recommend this place to them. The only reason I left was due to relocating, but if circumstances were different I would’ve stayed there much longer.
