Pros

decent benefits, plenty of PTO

Cons

poor management, management plays favorites. they promote an open door policy but when you give an opinion or ideas that management doesn't agree with, you are targeted. there is also nepotism involved, HR has no teeth, family run company.

Pros

The best things about this job were the ease of tasks and autonomy. I was able to use my phone or other device pretty much the entire day as long as I was proactive with tasks and the work got done. The pay is also quite good given the responsibilities of your average employee. Employees are also friendly with each other and will generally look out for one other.

Cons

Management will use behavior as a result of poor mental health against you. If you show any sort of mental instability, you should not expect to advance or have the sympathy/understanding of your higher ups. You should actively expect them to use that against you for any advancement opportunities. Performance communication is inconsistent or nonexistent. Depending on the mood of the on-site manager (of which there is only one...) of any given day, discipline can range from slaps on the wrists to full write ups without communication. Employees are not treated equally or as humans by higher ups - mistakes one employee makes will be treated differently than if another employee were to make the same mistake, again depending on the mood of the on-site manager or higher ups on the day when they notice the mistake. Expect to be communicated to about these mistakes as subhuman and without empathy. The higher ups do not care about the employees - only about their performance. This was proven several times via several different communique's. As an example, during the Texas freeze in February of 2021, one of the company executives requested that employees sleep in the store overnight without water, heat, or power. While monetary compensation was offered, this behavior is unacceptable pressure by higher ups to maintain the continuity of business rather than the health of their employees.

Pros

good benefits, fun work, some of the staff is great

Cons

they keep us insulated, we dont really get to ever know what happens in other places. They dont have a good understanding of how to make a business run well with simple things like training or reporting.
