Pros

- virtual company - great culture - lots of fun - make a positive impact - higher than average transparency Overall, a fantastic place to work. I enjoyed the people, the inside jokes, and the close-knit feel. Its nice to work at a place that directly contributes to supporting global non-profits in their mission(s) to make the world a better place.

Cons

- compensation is weak - growing pains with company structure - some turnover The company is growing and poised to continue doing so, and has some problems as a result. This is to be expected.

A Fantastic Place to Work

Pros

* Interesting work. Jackson River takes on tough projects. It’s a great place to learn how solve complicated technical problems. * Wonderful clients. Jackson River works with some amazing progressive nonprofits. It’s hard to believe the roster of clients at times. * Supportive staff and management. This is the most family-friendly and caring place I’ve ever worked. Everyone wants to see you succeed both personally and professionally.

Cons

* The end-of-year fundraising season can be stressful. * Having a clearer growth path for developers and project managers would be great. * There have been growing pains around organizational structure. Yet, when the management team makes a decision that does not work out, there are always quick corrections.

Pros

Lots of flexibility, founders have been in the space a long time and are VERY knowledgable. Alice (the CEO) is one of the most genuine people ever. Tom is great. TJ is also someone that works at Jackson River. Kidding, TJ is also great. I left this job to pursue other career opportunities but I genuinely miss my time at Jackson River.

Cons

Some people think Aviator monkey is better than pirate monkey, this is ridiculous. You'll have to work with these people on a daily basis, it's hard to relate.
