Pros

Talented people work there

Cons

The CEO talks to professional adults like they are peasants to him. His ego is so out of line that he can’t see how to run his company properly. There’s a lot of mischief going on and it’s encouraged by upper management. Everyone is disposable to this guy and with no legitimate reasoning. Asking employees to work on other marketing projects on weekends without pay.

Pros

With a military client, work was diverse, fast and furious. For a young person getting his/her foot in the door, you could work on a commercial one day and an experiential campaign the other. The creatives at JE were so full of energy and did such great work.

Cons

The CEO. He has no idea how to run an agency and has zero focus. He treats employees like children and has no idea how lucky he was. I've seen him walk the halls at 5PM doing bed checks, congratulating people for staying late. He does the same thing at 8 AM making sure everybody is in their seats. He gets angry when people are not in their seats -- even when they are brainstorming in common areas. He berated employees in front of the client. He offered no strategic vision for the company he wanted to create. He blew a $110 million account with a military branch. After he lost this account, and fired 50 people with no severance, he's apparently trying to get more accounts and luring whoever he can get to work for him. It's tempting to look at reviews with a grain of salt with the idea that your experience will be different. It won't.

Pros

Had a chance to meet some great people.

Cons

Uppermanagment and leadership was horrible. They did not care about the people. They were defrauding the goverment by having us work on multiple contracts VS the contract we were hired to work on. If you said anything They would say you're not a team player. The CEO is a narcissist. He would make suggestive comments towards the women in the office or ask them to stay late. Ruuunnn!! Do not work for this company!!!

I'm sorry that you had an unpleasant experience working at JacobsEye. While I would disagree with the parts of your review that reflect your personal opinions, you are entitled to your opinions and my rebuttal would serve no purpose. However, when you state that JacobsEye has defrauded the government, you are no longer stating an opinion. You are purporting to make a statement of fact that is in reality untrue, slanderous and defamatory. JacobsEye has never violated the terms of a government contract as you claim. Our books are open to the government for audit at any time and we would never risk the reputation of the company, let alone criminal prosecution, by charging the government for work performed or hours spent on another client. We are not perfect, but we do care for our employees and we encourage them to come forward when they see things that are not right. It doesn't matter whether the bad actor is the CEO or someone on the senior leadership team. I'm sorry to hear that your experience with JacobsEye was inconsistent with the values of our company.
