Pros

It's downtown near the train.

Cons

Their business model is hire super young, cheap talent and go after whatever business will bite first even if it's an awful fit. Senior leadership is less than supportive and there are more politics that go on here at this little shop than your average big agency. Back stabbing and undercutting galore. Don't expect support from your superiors and your team of juniors and interns will probably let you down on a regular basis. The morale here is as awful as the accounts they have to work on. This was the worst agency I have ever worked at.

I am sorry your experience was not what you were expecting. I think we put a high priority on our team and treat them as our most valuable asset giving them voices, decision making power and tremendous flexibility to balance work life. I have never heard these types of comments before and feel bad that these were not brought up while you were here. A small agency has many ups and downs and I don't think we are much different than many others, except that we have a great alumni of employees that loved their experience here.

Pros

Some great people to work with and there is potential for upward mobility.

Cons

Jacobs Agency is plagued with turmoil and employee turnover. It takes far too long to replace employees, if they even are replaced. This makes the work/life balance very difficult to achieve as the higher ups expect everyone else to pick up the slack. Internal politics and gossiping.

Thank You for your comments, the agency doubled in size in a manner of a few months and management has been absorbing new employees and processes. some of the legacy employees simply did not fit with this new growth pattern and thus management has purposely been changing the employee base as we grow. So what may seem chaotic to a former employee has actually been a methodical alteration to better serve our larger clients.
