A welcoming professional company
Pros
The entire process of being approached by a recruiter to meeting with HR and the CEO to my first day was open, honest and fair. On my first day all of my work items were ready for me on a desk with computer, phone email all set up ready to go. Everyone from all departments was welcoming and friendly. All of my questions were answered but I only had a few as they were so on the ball. I was given time to settle in and it was made clear what they expected of me and what I can expect from them. The support for me to learn 1. Their systems and processes and some areas I was weak on (CAD) has been unwavering, I am expected to meet targets but I am not admonished if I don’t quite make it, more supportive and helping where they can. The office has a good atmosphere and there is the option to work remotely as well, which I have utilised on days when I’ve had trades working in the house. I am also being given the chance to grow my own self and move forward with my career. I have been asked how am I? more times in the short time I have been at this company than in my entire 7 years at my previous company where I had risen through the ranks.
Cons
The pace can be very hard at times (but what decent company doesn’t have busy periods).
