The flexibility was good. You’re in the office 3 days a week.

Cons

I didn’t Like the favoritism and excess racism put on black employees. We were treated like field hands, and undervalued for our work.

Pros

Working at JARC has been an incredible journey of professional and personal growth. I love that we’re often doing trainings on a variety of topics like trauma-informed care, implicit bias, etc. Also, JARC offers professional growth opportunities, and it’s very flexible with PTO. I love working at JARC because I can see the real impact we’re having on our community. Our team is made up of exceptional and wonderful human beings.

Cons

I think capacity is one of the biggest cons of JARC, as are many other nonprofits. However, everyone is always trying to do their best to prioritize their tasks.

Warm Atmosphere but Low Pay

Main office is cozy, welcoming atmosphere among coworkers, management understanding and flexible about working hours, easy to pair this job with another job or going to school, job provides help to people in need, small and friendly staff

Cons

Pay could be higher, full-time employees limited to 35 hours/week, PPO is not affordable for many employees
