Pros

Great location in Center City

Cons

Janney has very little to offer in terms of diversity and competitive pay. 80% of the people you work with will be white. 70% will be men. Women coming into Janney will most likely be filling a position that a man walked away from or was fired from, and there’s a good chance that these women will be paid significantly less for that same job. Many departments within Janney have high turnover rates, mostly because of the poor pay. Janney has trouble holding onto talented people because jobs are available elsewhere with better benefits, a more diverse workforce, better pay, and a more relaxed company culture. If Janney does not work to resolve these issues they will eventually run every capable person out of their company. The fact of the matter is, you can find something better.

Pros

Everyone seems nice at first.

Cons

Serious issues within the WM dept. Top down management does not prioritize diversity. If you’re a guy you can work in research, but if not don’t bother trying to apply.

Great if you enjoy white male privilege

Pros

The people are nice and fairly laid back.

Cons

Money rules as at most financial firms. White males are in charge and disrespectful to others. There is a corporate culture that women are disregarded and disrespected. Don’t bother talking to HR. They don’t care about employees and will retaliate . Salary is very low, uncompetitive, with no opportunity for advancement
