Pros

I worked in numerous departments at this company. The company is very open to career progression, and offers ongoing training dependant on the job you are performing. - Large company with opportunities to progress or move into different departments - Ongoing training in certain positions - A diverse workforce - Management teams improved whilst working there - A great, social company

Cons

As a low cost airline, the company is focused on driving as many paid seats as possible. Unfortunately this means the benefits aren't as great as other travel companies.

Don’t bother

Pros

Apparently the pay is lucrative in comparison to similar budget airlines, but you’ll be mentally in debt so it’s your choice. Genuinely the only ‘pro’ I can think of.

Cons

I honestly don’t know where to begin. As an ex Royal Air Force aircraft engineer, I am used to dealing with some difficult people and situations, but this place is something else. I wouldn’t trust the management to tell me the time, let alone train me properly to carry out my job (of which none did). The whole building is run on inside friendships and affairs, it’s the most toxic, incestuous environment I’ve ever worked in. Not to mention the flea bites on your ankles from the worn out rotten carpet in the ‘head office’ (which is a glorified portacabin). If you’ve got decent qualifications, ambition and a personality, look elsewhere. I handed in my notice after being signed off with work related stress. The company came to the conclusion (against the word of my doctor, auto immune specialist and myself) that it wasn’t work related stress, and that it was related to my family life. It’s strange that since leaving I’ve suffered neither stress nor anxiety, and I am actually very happy now and enjoying my life. Please, do yourself a favour and avoid.

Pros

Outside of the corporate offices, out on the ground can be fun, but management still aren't very nice to work with.

Cons

CEO Steve Heapy puts on a front to customers, behind closed doors is VERY unprofessional. Shouts at staff, punches walls, slams doors, sacks staff without reason (not me). Even held me in a room, wouldn't let me out until he got the answers he needed, which I couldn't get without speaking with my team first. There is what's known as the 'trap door', every half a year a large chunk of staff members go down the 'trap door'. Basically, sacked without reason, paid off. This generally happens to management or someone in a decent position.
