Everything about being a cashier is absolutely horrible! I worked in this place for more then a year and dont know how i lasted that long! I was miserable and every morning i wanted to cry, i didnt want to go to this job but i did it for 38 hours a week, because they dont give fulltime until after a 2 years i think. I will never set foot in this hel hole. I was tired day and night from working this job, i was exhausted all the time!!!
The Lines to checkout customers are always long!!! From OPEN to CLOSE!
-customers always have to wait so they are ALL super angry frustrated & impatient!
-you have to count The customers item at the end of ringing up always more them 100 items!! And get the count right or the customer cant leave!
- you are supervised by multiple supervisors throughout your entire shift& they count your items to make sure u get the count right & if you dont they will harass you about it
-the supervisors & managers are absolutely horrible!!! They are rude, think theyre the big fish and are lazy as fish!
-the supervisors will never help you!!!!
-the managers always take the supervisors side
If youre a cashier youre expected to check inside heavy boxes of meat and chicken to make sure the customer aint adding extra(note) a customer can stack up to 20 boxes AND YOURE EXPECTED TO LIFT EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM!! The supervisors are supposed to help but they NEVER DO.
-When an item doesnt scan you gotta yell out to the supervisors "service" and they have to find the product code in a ugly dirty big binder!!! They take forever to get to you and the customer gets angryyy as fishh off!!!!!
- almost all customers are rude as fishh and will even rish you or harass you
- customers yell at you
-if you have to go to the bathroom, you have to ring up to 10 customers no matter how many items they have!!!! Then you can go. (You might pizz yourself)
- you have to stand on your feet for 8 hours a day in the same spot, everyday and lift super heavy boxes all day long
-every single cashier is miserable working at jetro and they complain about it day to day, its horrible
-The supervisors always team up and talk fishh behind your back
- the supervisors are mean and expect you to kiss their butt so they dont make your work miserable(i never did! Effd that)
At the end of every shift they make you sweep the floors, and take out trashes like a janitor, you have to pick up trash from the floor and collect it all(full bags) put them all in a cart and take it to the dumpster in the back and then lift heavy bags of trash and dump them in the dumpster! Thats not even the fun part!
At the end of the shift, you have to do Go backs, boxes of meat! Big heavy boxes of eggs & chicken, sea food 10 pound bags of vegetables!!! Really heavy items, and trust me!!!! The go backs are NEVER light!!!
Supervisors chill and laugh infront of you even eat or drink while you are working like a slave & they will chill infront of you
If you get this job you will be absolutely miserable and traumatized, have low selt estreem, feel bullied and exploited)
Dont work as a cashier for jetro its a horrible job! I promise
