Pros

Awesome coworkers, unlimited vacations, free lunch

Cons

OMG where to start. I dont even have words to describe the actual situation in Jibe. Walking around the office looks like walking in an episode of the walking dead. The morale is extremely low like I never experienced in all my professional career. Everyone lost their faith in the company after the second mass layoff in 5 months that left the company with basically no engineers. Company keep selling clients what it's impossible to deliver due the lack of engineers and keep changing the roadmap because they don't know how to get out of this mess. There is no way out, this company is coming to an end. Engineers estimates are not even respected anymore, the answer for everything is "work harder" or "suck it up". I don't think there is a single person that is not looking for another job at the moment, even VPs are quitting. It's sad to see how bad this ship was driven, Jibe had really smart and skilled people, wasting their time in this company, they all deserve better jobs.

Pros

Good perks -- Free lunch, snacks, "unlimited" vacation (has to get approved by manager), nice location (DC office is much better than NY). Still a relatively small company, but quickly becoming large and bureaucratic, doesn't exactly have a startup feel anymore.

Cons

- As previous recent reviewers have mentioned, this is a quickly sinking ship. It's honestly not clear whether or not the company will be around in a year's time -- the market for the product(s) is just not there, big deals are few and far between and expenses are high. Way too diverse of a product portfolio for a company at this stage, doesn't have the engineering or the sales capabilities to support it all. - The lack of transparency shown by the executive team was astounding -- there are biweekly town hall meetings, at which the entire company pats itself on the back and talks about all of these success stories, MEANWHILE, there have been two large company wide layoffs within the last 6 months without any warning. In fact, the CEO said specifically there would be no layoffs a week before there were dozens of them. A little transparency & accountability goes a long way. - Culture has gone down the tubes (utter absence of company events, socials, etc), morale is low and the work is dull. Not exactly an exciting company to be part of.

Pros

First, the obvious "Pros" that everyone can agree to: * Lunches are provided via Seamless. * The DC office has a great culture. Even 6 months after I quit, I still meet w/ everyone in this office at least once or twice a month. * Unlimited PTO. Just make sure to get it approved in advance. So, why did I quit? At the beginning of 2015, the Jibe was was completely out of touch about the direction of its products. Metaphorically speaking, they were focusing on building a new deck while the rest of the house was on fire. After numerous discussions w/ the leadership, it was clear that they simply were not going to realign their priorities. So, it was time for me to move on. So, why is this listed in the "Pros" section? A few months after I left, Jibe had its first round of layoffs. The leaders that were most directly responsible for Jibe's misguided priorities were among those that were laid off. Additionally, there has been a massive restructuring of the Product Team. This team now includes members that have been on the front lines of the customer integrations; hence, they are acutely aware of the house fires. They have started defining (and delivering upon) actionable objectives that aim to address these house fires. In short, I believe that Jibe has laid the groundwork for long-term improvements. I hope they can continue moving in that direction.

Cons

As you can gather from the other Glassdoor reviews, there is currently a lot of uncertainty about Jibe's future. People are leaving, and morale is low. But, these are ultimately just the consequences of the underlying issues. Once the underlying issues are addressed, things will turn around pretty quickly. My thoughts about Jibe's underlying issues have already been communicated to the company in private. Hopefully they have found some of these to be helpful.
