Pros

Employees are banding together to love students.

Cons

Five senior VP's and AVP's, HR, members of business office, admissions, and other personnel have left the University in the last 30 days and it is radio silence from the President. Staff wages have been cut 20% for the rest of the school year. Technically, staff is getting paid for 32 hour work weeks but workload hasn't changed (most are working 40-60 hours). New hires are being brought on at the full time rates, making more than staff who have been here for a number of years. It stinks that we who love this organization are being penalized for having been here. Faculty programs are next. Many staff and faculty members are sad and angry but we are not talking about it as an organization.

Not worth it. Staff not valued.

Pros

Excellent, competent faculty. Godly president.

Cons

There are at least two classes of employees at Judson University - Faculty and Deans (who are treated like royalty) and Staff (who are treated like servants). Faculty promotions and upward mobility is carefully administered and thoughtful; staff promotions and mobility is either politically motivated or nonexistent. There is a constant undercurrent of dissatisfaction by many staff, who do not believe that they count or are heard by managers (who are mostly male). High level leaders are not accountable for their actions, which are at times arbitrary and destructive to individuals and careers.

Pros

Old school charm and some really good people. The vibe on campus brought me back to my christian beliefs and daily prayer.

Cons

While the old school charm is nice, the university needs to bring in more modern techniques and processes, along with people who understand how to manage them. There are too many cooks in the kitchen.
