Pros
As a part of the original team and having been there since year one, I've seen this amazing organization grow from a one-room office to a bustling office of 25+ dedicated hard-working team members. This was all done under the vision and leadership of the Executive Director Sarah Belal. She demands nothing but the best from her team and that might scare those who lack commitment and are only in it for the money, but that's exactly what we need in order to take on the monstrous task of fighting against the death penalty. Working against the death penalty is no walk in the park. Sarah Belal did not get where she is and impacted (and saved) as many lives by keeping the weak-willed and fainthearted in her arsenal. Being a female lawyer and especially a woman who's running an organization that deals with a subject as harsh as the death penalty will surely get you some enemies but she is resilient and that’s a quality she has instilled in us too. So sure, at times, the work can be challenging and demanding but the sense of fulfillment it brings makes it all worthwhile and we wouldn’t have it any other way. And for those naysayers, we have just one thing to say: If you're not willing to put in the effort, dedication, and empathy required to make a real difference, then you're not cut out for Justice Project Pakistan.
