Inc 500 fastest growing company? More like a rapidly declining company!
Pros
You have some flexibility with your schedule. Most of the staff was friendly and we had Christmas parties, happy hours, BBQ's and even bowling events. Got to do some traveling to trade shows, which were usually fun to attend and got to build a close relationship with many vendors. Dress code is casual and can come to work in a t-shirt and jeans or shorts if you want to. Also, their is free health insurance.
Cons
If you are looking for a company to grow with in the long run, this isn't the place. Most employees only last 1-3 years. This company promotes themselves as a 3rd party Amazon seller and many manufacturers don't like working with Amazon sellers, out of fear that we might cheapen their brand. A lot of changes were made and most of the time, these changes don't work out. This company also plays favorites and they love their Senior Buyers. They were each given two assistants, while the Associate Buyers weren't given any and were expected to produce on the same level, which I felt wasn't fair, especially since the bonus plan at that time was only attainable by the Senior Buyers. A new CEO was brought in during Q4 of 2016 and had put an end to those buying teams. The purchasing department was restructured as well as the bonus plan, which made it attainable by everyone. However, the Wholesale Sourcing Department was eventually eliminated at the beginning of this month, due to the company losing money and Amazon increasing their fees.
