Pros

There are none, this company is bad

Cons

This place was a wonderful place to work up until 5 years ago. They treat their employees like slaves. There is no human consideration, they are bullies who should be run out of business. Maybe someone should treat them like they treat others. These people are heartless.

"It is an exciting time of change as KBC grows its people!" We appreciate all feedback from our team members, and we appreciate when people speak to us openly and directly vs. on social media. At KBC, management works hard to send an even and consistent message to the KBC team about its values and mission. KBC has tremendous respect for the work/life balance of all of its team members, and at the same time strives for excellence through continuous improvement. Over the last few years, KBC has made some much needed improvements to its business model (with a lot of hard work, care, and commitment from its team members), and KBC is better and stronger for it. In turn KBC is better able to keep its promises to its customers, so that they can keep their promises to their customers. It is an exciting time of change as KBC grows its people, model and capabilities. Unfortunately this won’t appeal to everyone, but we do not apologize for the improvements, changes and much needed focus on our customers.

A long way from the industry standard ...

Pros

You have 24 hours before everyone in the company knows what you have been talking about, even in private conversations, so that allows plenty of time to make sure you have an explanation for everyone.

Cons

There is no end. In 2018, white collar positions punch a time clock. Advice is taken by onsite management, and never passed along to corporate management. It is a very tough environment (professionally) to walk into everyday. Revenue growth is restricted to current customer base, corporate management is happy trying to grow revenue within extremely saturated existing customer base. Personal growth is non existent.

Thank you for your feedback. We value and consider all feedback. KBC is committed to creating a transparent and collaborative environment for all of our team members, so we’re disappointed that you didn’t have a positive experience here, especially in a sales role where we have very simple expectations and lots of room for growth – of course when you have results. As KBC and the industry changes, we continue to adapt, and in many cases KBC is proudly above the industry standard with incentives, pay and overall work life balance. Our growth has been well above the industry standard in the past year, which shows that our growth strategy has been and continues to be successful and sustainable. We offer incentives as a benefit to our team members, to reward them for a job well done. Thank you for taking the time to express your experience.

Pros

Insurance for a family is inexpensive, work is not hard at all. Customer can be fun, coworkers are a lot of fun

Cons

They want you to be a salesmen, but not pay you commission. The company wants you to make outbound calls to potential new business aka schools for machining tools, but you can make the sale do all the leg work and only make your hourly pay. What I noticed is that they are behind the curve on what bigger companies are doing, while trying to compete with fastenal, msc, mcmcaster, and grainger. So basically you are paid to be an order taker, but they want much more.

Here at KBC, we pride ourselves on being big enough to compete, and small enough to care. We value each and every one of our team members, and show our appreciation through a healthy work-life balance, great benefits, and competitive pay. In lieu of commission, our sales personnel are eligible to receive other incentives such as SPIFF sales awards for meeting objectives.
