Pros

Lively city and a great community to cover. Never a dull moment in Spokane. Leadership in the Newsroom is knowledgeable and willing to take on new talent, looking to get their start.

Cons

Management is tyrannical, to put it lightly. Their typical course of action is to scream at someone when they make a mistake- and I mean scream- until it's fixed. I've been threatened to be fired twice for disagreeing with them and I've had two reporters that HAVE been fired for less. There's also no HR department in the building... so there's no-one to report it to. The compensation/work-life balance is also terrible. Starting pay is minimum wage for every position, even though the station makes the most money out of the three in the area. I've also been guilted into working while sick because someone else would have had to work 10 days in a row to cover me.

Pros

Fast paced and exciting work every day

Cons

Management is severely out of touch. Production is payed minimum wage and encouraged to get other jobs in order to make a living wage. No bonuses or raises ever, and is encouraged not to even discuss. Upper level does not listen to lower level employees at all.
