Pros

Great surroundings, interesting projects. The company is joined at the hip to KTM, which provides a stable, constant and predictable flow of diverse core projects encompassing all aspects of branding, design and marketing.

Cons

Most of the work is done by interns and Junior designers who are paid a pittance, charged out at a fortune and promised the world. These promises are nothing more than carrots dangled in front of them which they chase after for years. Some of them realise this before too long and leave for more appreciative and better paid employment, (or get kicked out from one day to the next as the companies workload changes) whilst others stick at it and get thrown a small bone every now and then to stop them leaving whilst being fed lies about how if they keep doing what they are doing they will be rewarded, next year. Employees are required to account for and enter into a slow and tedious time management system what they are doing during every minute of every day. Nobody in the company makes a decent salary except the partners, and whilst a few are promised the possibility of ascending to such lofty heights, these promises like so many they make, are just a tool they use to get what they want. Those at the top of the company are devious and dishonest, if you want to work there, always keep this in mind when talking to them, from your first interview. They may act like they have your best interests in mind, but it's part of the game they play. Management have an egotistical, provincial and narrow minded perspective of the world. Extremely competitive environment makes everybody nervous, resulting in a childish amount of backstabbing and other unproductive behaviour. Nervous breakdowns happen frequently there as a result.

Pros

Recognized internationally, with talented colleagues from different backgrounds, interesting projects to work on and the opportunity to experience a unique culture. Located in a beautiful side of Austria.

Cons

Lots of promises that never get fulfilled. Structural changes are needed, but the company is uptight and not willing to change. Partners that are responsible for clients, teams and projects and need to have the last word on everything are rarely around when a presence is needed. Employees are underpaid, in many cases overworked and usually are not that happy to be there. Weird backstabbing between lower-level employees and management. Smart employees don’t stick around for too long, once they figure out how things work there.

Pros

Very nice office with a large kitchen where you can cook. There are showers and locker room in the cellar... good if you do exercise during lunch or you go by bike. Very nice location with a view to the mountain. Good colleagues. Quite international working environment on some teams. (Very local on other teams) Nice projects and working environment in the transportation design area. Good facilities for creating mockups, rapid prototyping and painting. All designers have cintiques. IT guys are very nice and supportive. Baker drops by every morning in the truck.

Cons

Arrogant passive aggressive management. Overall low salaries. Big overhead. Different teams are rarely working together. Approach to design is too limited and mostly focused only on styling. Management is not updated with latest trends, technology and social media. They are quite conservative, controlling and old school. People are usually too concentrated on their work only and don't look at the world so are not updated.
