Pros

Your own space, access to events.

Cons

A lot of responsibilities stacked in one job, management disagreements.

Pros

This is a great place to get your feet wet in the industry. Coworkers also end up like family.

Cons

I wouldn't stay here long. A lot of "set in your ways" type of behavior, and not a lot of movement for promoting within.

Pros

Tenured anchors are so nice. Reporters are also very kind. Chili competitions and community events. Other reporters from competitor stations hang out together on weekends. New studio is nice!

Cons

Pay is super low Unrealistic expectations, and I felt unsafe a lot of the times I was out reporting You have to beg to get feedback or else you’re just content needing to be aired Station is somewhat cheap with buying nicer equipment. Turnover is quite high- but that’s because reporters have two year contracts.
