Pros

Truck is nice, long miles.

Cons

Long hours, low pay, waiting on the yard picking up your load takes hours. Tarp pay is low. To much for less than 65,000 a year. That's if you don't nit the truck....

Driver Beware!

Pros

-They get you travel and hotel accommodations and pay you for orientation. - They feed you on Yard nights if you can get to the crock pot fast enough (Choices are Meatballs and hotdogs) -Nice staff if they're not upper management. -Great shop personnel and quality of work in shop is awesome. -Company phone and email provided. -Nice Trucks (This is all they really got going for them)

Cons

-Yard Nights (Can last anywhere from 8 to 10 hours) You are expected to work all day and then come on the yard if you're in Janesville, WI or Santa Fe Springs, CA and work until all trucks are loaded, secured and tarped. -Company Cell phone. You will be required to call dispatch on everything you do including measuring loads, arriving and departing stops, calling about any hiccup with the load. -Company Email. If you make any mistakes or encounter any issues with load damage or potential load damage, you have to report them to the safety department or the shop if it's equipment related. Once you do this you will be publicly shamed via email to the entire company. -Everything is on you the driver. If you do not take pictures of everything... and I mean EVERYTHING your pay will be docked up to .04 cpm. If you damage anything and report it or not your pay will still be docked. If it's not your fault they will find a way to make it your fault. -They run illegally. They advise their drivers if they are overweight to just run the scales or go around them. Kaiser Transport also wants you to run 7 days per week. That means your logs will be tampered with after you have certified them in order for you to keep going. (This is a fine line of illegality). Kaiser will also tell you to run on expired permits for Oversize or overweight annual permits. -Toxic Work Environment. Kaiser dispatch will from time to time gaslight you if you call them out on their illegal practices. If you contract a cold or other illness management then proceeds to indirectly imply that you are a drug addict by asking you "What kind of chemical were you taking?" When you have no prior history or desire to do illegal substances. This is because they have an issue with drivers abusing substances. The other drivers will also heckle you if you do not do things "The Kaiser Way" it doesn't matter how much experience you have in the industry or in flatbed they will call you an idiot and make you feel like everything you know is wrong. -Highway Kings. This is Kaiser's truck club that treat other drivers like they are in high school and bully them publicly in Company emails. -Irregular limited home time. This is all based on Company needs and you have to submit a paper to dispatch in order to attempt to go home. If you want regular time off this is not the place for you and this also includes 34 hour restarts. Good luck. -Below average Base Pay. Base pay is .48cpm they will try to say they pay more than that but the paycheck doesn't reflect that. -Mission Zero. This is Kaiser's safety and performance "bonus" it is .02 cpm for Safety and .02 cpm for Performance. This can be taken away if any incidents happen. Thus decreasing your pay by up to .04 cpm. They also have a .02 cpm kicker for team safety and zero incidents. This is never achieved thus making it a carrot on a stick. -Poorly maintained and damaged securement equipment. They fight you to keep old stuff until you make a fuss about it being non serviceable. -Limited Driver facilities. They have 1 shower per yard. 1 washer and dryer per yard and no drivers lounge so you can eat away from your truck or relax. -Orientation is 2 weeks long. If you're an experienced driver you should not have to complete a 2 week course. This is just opinion take it as you will. -You have to wait on a truck. They do not have one for you when you complete orientation. Someone has to quit or get fired in order for you to get a truck. -Extremely high turnover rate. At the time of posting the turnover is currently at 80%
