Pros

Colleagues, minus the senior leadership team, were kind and just stuck in a bad place

Cons

Senior leadership team has no idea what they are doing, went from bad to worse when acquired by PE, tell people their jobs are safe and then make redundancies in the same week

Pros

Great UK based staff team, all very friendly and helpful.

Cons

No support, direction or ambition from senior leadership team. Since being taken over by FPE and brining in a new CEO in September 2019 only concern seems to be rebranding and offshoring. Promises of bonuses, pay reviews and benefits packages are all lies and are never delivered. No paid for training or certification available to staff when you actually apply for it. No real career progression offered; new roles are filled externally, often without even advising existing staff that the role exists to apply for. Company feels in chaos, very low staff morale in the UK and no hope of any positive changes soon - have lost 23 staff from the UK team so far in 2020 despite no loss of business or revenue. Staff who public question the management practises are pushed to leave or made redundant.

After the company was acquired by FPE it seems to me that they are "sinking the ship". From the number of redundancies and offshoring development to India it is obvious they are struggling financially. Clearly they have no clue what their product is and to be brutally honest it's a pile of outdated garbage. The concept is great but I am sure their competitors have implemented the same idea better with the latest technology stacks. As a Junior Developer they stuck me on third line support. This meant no time for development work and if I did any it would be the odd bug fix. This greatly hindered my personal growth and development as a developer. I brought this up with the CTO throughout my time in Kallik. I was promised more Development work. Unfortunately that day never came. Finally, I am pretty certain the overly positive reviews left are fake. Just to hide the other negative review.
