Pros

Home office and nothing else!

Cons

From where to start.... Lies, vulgarity and disrespectful treatment as if you're a slave. Your team leader won't have a clue what you are working on daily bases on, because they don't care at all, other than going out to smoke, talking nonsense, yelling at you and belittling you in front of other colleagues in the smoking area. While everyone from the other departments you work with are happy and they are looking to establish friendly contact with you. You’ll find yourself having to train the person who were put there to train you, but he is just as incompetent as the managers. The workload is heavy, and with this kind of attitude, things quickly spiral out of control. Right when I started, my colleagues in the same position warned me what to expect. However, they don't have the option to quit without another job offer because they have children to support. Everyone had minimized their contact with our team leader!!! You are given work by colleagues who are not doing well. You are given responsibilities, but despite this you are not even a junior. Accordingly, your salary is staying low, but the work and responsibilities multiply. "The organization" of work, especially on closing days, is shocking. Promotions are extremely rare. For a junior you will need at least 1.5 years as an Assistant. I don't know who would survive in such an environment for so long. Many of the old collegus in this department are lazy and incompetent!!! You aren't allowed to take time off at the beginning or at the end of the month! On some days, the workload is huge, but overtime is not paid. The notice period is 2 months.

Pros

At least you have a job. Some people are really nice.

Cons

I feel lied to. The workload is inhumane. In the contract you sign up for a 40hr workweek. But they don't mention that for closing activities (2 workdays before the 1st working day of the month and 5 workdays after) you have to work crazy overtime and you are FORBIDDEN from taking any kind of leave in the first or last week of the month. During cloding I start at 8am and finish at 10pm, some of my colleagues work until 12am. These hours are not paid, you can take them as "leave early" bonus but sometimes your manager tellsforces you to take them when you don't even need them. Sound bearable but there is more - when you try to write the after hours in the overtime spreadsheet you get scolded that "you are not really working if you are waiting for a confirmation". For example I finish work at 6pm and I am on the computer waiting for a confirmation, to start my tasks (another hour, sometimes two), which I receive around 8-10pm. In that time, as they like to say, "you cannot write it as overtime, because you are waiting and not actively working". This is not only disrespectful but also illegal, because I stay available and react when there is a problem or so (most of the times something urgent comes up)! All of my team are burnt out and we are only 6 months in. If I knew what was going to be on my plate I would have at least demanded a bigger salary, because this is just mockingly low for the amount of effort we put.
