      Owning corporation is dismal

      Pros

      The local team at KARE-11 is great, friendly and professional.

      Cons

      The corporation that owns the television station is dreadful. They are eliminating people constantly, cutting wages, increasing work-load while making it impossible to do high-quality professional work. They don't seem to want any humans left to work there. At the local level, the one complaint is there is no room for advancement and internal applications for openings are ignored. People with more skills and talents are pigeon-holed and held back with no choice but to leave.

      You don’t have to pay for parking.

      Cons

      You will be lied to from the beginning. Horribly chaotic environment with no training. They will give you opportunities, then take them away. Don’t bother telling mgmt concerns because they won’t listen. They expect the other sales people to train you, but they don’t have the time and are never around. Toxic positivity runs rampant here. Potential to make money but only if you’re at a senior level and youre a favorite. The medium is dying anyway, so find yourself a digital job instead.
