Pros
Most of the people are fun to work with and will teach you something. Ask the right person and they'll teach you everything. Most satellite offices have more competent management than the head office. If you're popular amongst C-Suite, you'll never be in trouble.
Cons
If you're not best friends with HR, you'll get nowhere. No raises. Incompetent management. Some, not all, managers will indirectly humiliate your co-workers in front of the department. Company has nothing new to rest their laurels on. Weekly meetings are 40% "could be emails" conversations and 60% the head of the department enjoying the sound of his voice. Most interns are given menial tasks then have their emails blocked or told to call back later when calling the office.
