      I feel sorry for the taxpayers

      Pros

      Working for the State still has descent benefits.

      Cons

      Secretary of Revenue, Sam Williams and CIO Jon Payne w to gut the IT department. They spoon fed and groomed the third party vendor to get the bid to take over all the application that were built by current staff. Absolutely no communication. Almost like a hostile take over.

      Pros

      set hours, decent benefits, paid time off is alright (though it can take a while to build up a decent amount)

      Cons

      No room for raises or bonuses, some divisions are a real nightmare to work for (mainly in the taxation and driver solutions divisions), some of the positions where you deal directly with the customers can be rough.
