The founders of the business. They were lucky enough to introduce a concept in the right place at the right time but have NO idea how to run a company. They think by reading business books they are business gurus - absolute narcissists who want to be treated like royalty. Bizarre and narrow-minded decision making, cultural insensitivities (and racism), actively ignoring expert advice (and the law) is the daily norm.
As a general rule, they believing in paying below market rate (and below what people are already earning) as they think the privilege of joining their "adventure/journey" makes up for the shortfall.
The business have introduced a number to company values which they contradict at every turn with their behaviour. It constantly defies belief.
They can not distinguish between being frugal and ROI. They do not invest back in the business and extract all funds out of the company to pay themselves dividends.
They pretend "we're all in it together" and exploit the employees with long hours, lack of resource and beyond-unreasonable expectations - while they laugh all the way to the bank.
They openly talk about how they want their business to be like a cult - don't drink the kool aid STAY AWAY.
