Smoke and mirrors. Executives use company funds for personal use and lavish corporate spending!
Pros
If you’re privileged to be in the “inner circle” of the executives, you will be payed well.
Cons
Top heavy. The C suite uses company funds to throw lavish dinners, board meetings, and even complete personal home improvements (fact). The executives are given outrageous sums but the rest of the company is nickeled and dimed on benefits and vacation. There is no management. Because of the founder-run culture, promotions are completely random and most people with power have no idea how to lead people. There is tons of inter-office drama and passive aggressive behavior. Everyone runs around frantically to please the erratic demands of the CEO. They want workers, not thinkers. The C suite does not want change or innovation. They have explicitly said they do not want to conduct surveys or hear feedback from their employees. Bottom-line results are all that matters.
