If you don't have to... just don't

Pros

Good salary, benefits, easy interview, seemingly friendly upfront, remote

Cons

Honestly I just wouldn't unless you are on the brink of homelessness. Or do some major due diligence up front. It's an internal nightmare once you get in.

Pros

Great pay and amazing benefits. But don't get too comfortable - you will never get your full bonus and your pay can be unjustifiably cut just because they need to free up budget.

Cons

My time at this company was marked by constant turnover, lack of support, and a toxic work environment fostered by unqualified leadership. Management often avoided accountability, frequently shifting blame onto employees, which led to a culture of scapegoating and fear. Rather than fostering growth, HR acted as a buffer for poor managerial behavior, offering no recourse for those dealing with abusive supervisors. There were no clear performance metrics or expectations, making it impossible to measure success or progress. Raises were non-existent — in fact, my salary was cut by 25% without warning, yet I was still expected to maintain the same workload, along with additional responsibilities. The company promotes an “unlimited PTO” policy, but in practice, using it is penalized. The expectation to be constantly available made work-life balance impossible.

We take feedback like this seriously, even when it is difficult to read. We’re committed to creating a mutually supportive, respectful, and high-performing culture. Rapid growth and change can sometimes create challenges around communication and clarity, and in this case we likely tried too hard to find an alternate role. While we disagree with some of the characterizations here around tenure, job performance and reachability expectations, and company strategy, we’re sorry that working at Kentik wasn’t a great experience for you.
